A new look with new chances

We started MeiJay to create unique, tailored websites for businesses and clients who want something special. But our own website wasn’t quite reflecting that vision. It felt dated, didn’t showcase what we could do, and honestly, it wasn’t the smoothest experience for visitors. That’s a problem if your whole thing is making websites that stand out. This redesign gave us the chance to practice what we preach. We took a good look at what worked, what didn’t, and how we could make things better. The new site is cleaner, faster, and just feels more us. Some of the big changes:

Better Navigation: We wanted it to be super easy to find what you’re looking for.
Showcasing Our Work: Our portfolio got a much-needed upgrade, so you can really see what we’re about.
Mobile-Friendly Design: Because let’s face it, everyone’s on their phones these days.
At the end of the day, this redesign wasn’t just about looking nice (though we think it does!). It was about creating a space that represents who we are and what we do.

New Projects

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working hard on new projects. In the coming period, we’ll continue developing more, with the goal of showcasing what we have to offer while also experimenting with new techniques to refine our skills.

This is just a small update on what we've been up to, but since it’s been a while since our last one, we hope to check in sooner next time!

I noticed that Cleopatra Beauty was slow to load, likely due to the large number of images.

To improve rendering, I used TinyPNG to compress most images. For images that were still too large, I converted them to WebP using PhotoPea.

Refinding MeiJay

When I started MeiJay, all I wanted to do was learning to build websites and become more creative in the meanwhile.
I've been busy learning and building again a new website for MeiJay, this will include a more professiol look, but still simple.

Also I finished a website for a client, honestly I liked the website a lot. On the main page there are all the images of the work they do.

It has been quite busy in my life, I'm trying to spend more time on it and expand more with Projects.
